Historic Districts of West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach was founded in 1894, making it the oldest city in Palm Beach County. This gives West Palm Beach some of the most unique architecture in South Florida. Several areas have been added to the National Registry of Historic Places, including:

  • Northwood Hills
  • Old Northwood
  • West Northwood Historic District
  • Belair Historic District
  • Northboro Park Historic District
  • Central Park Historic District
  • Clematis Street Historic District
  • College Park Historic District
  • Grandview Heights
  • Mango Promenade Historic District
  • Northwest Historic District
  • Prospect Park / Southland Park

The homes in these neighborhoods are influenced by the architecture of Addison Mizner.  They are representative of Spanish Revival, Spanish Mission, or New-Mediterranean architecture.  They have a charm and ambiance that can not be found or easily replicated in a new home.  Many of these homes were built in the 1910s - 1920s.
